Kerala firm rocks football fans with Euro 2008 game

Even as Euro 2008 enthrals soccer aficionados across the world, a Kerala-based IT company is rocking fans with an online game based on football.

The 10-minute-long game, 'Penalty Game Euro 2008' devised by Invision Technologies (Pvt) Ltd, features all the 16 teams competing in the ongoing Euro 2008 championship.

It has been developed for a Dutch travel company, Invision managing director G.S. Abhilash told IANS.

The Dutch firm, an existing Invision client that owns an online marketing company Ezeppelin, wanted Abhilash to develop an interactive game coinciding with Euro 2008. 'Since I like football, I said yes and in a month's time, I did it,' he said.

Ezeppelin has offices in Holland and Turkey, and Abhilash said the new game has been a hit.

In the interactive penalty shoot-out game, only the Dutch team takes the penalty kick against the other teams. 'The passion is high (among Ezeppelin's Dutch clients),' Abhilash said.

Invision has now been given an order for a second game.

'Our team is working on it and we expect to finish it soon. The second part would have more features,'
