Indian women shooters disappointed in the event on the first day of the World Cup being held at Suhl in Germany.
Shagun Chowdhary had the best performance among the three Indians in the event held Thursday. The Jaipur girl shot 61 (19, 21, 21) to finish 38th.
Seema Tomar shot a poor 57 (20, 21, 16) to finish 44th, just two ranks above Shreyasi Singh who was placed 46th. Shreyasi, who started shooting just a year back could manage a score of 50 (16, 17, 17).
Italy's junior world champion, 16-year old Jessica Rossi, outplayed 37-year-old world champion Liu Yingzi of China to win her first World Cup gold. Rossi shot 94 (72+22). Liu landed in third place, while the silver went to the Daniela Del Din of San Marino.
